I have been attached to my camera for as long as I can remember, photographing those moments that people often miss. Photography to me is not only my passion but my therapy and i can not think of anything better then seeing the world through my camera lens. I love to bring honesty and clarity to my work, capturing life’s footprints.
My personal work focuses on the human relationship and interaction within mountainscapes, in particular the French Alps. Empreinte: A Photographers Footprint, is my way of describing our relationship with the mountains, the signs of passage we leave on our environment, representing the physical and metaphorical footprint left behind. While producing a digital imprint or memory as it where. Bringing us to the question: what draws us to the mountain tops?
“Humans are animals and like all animals we leave tracks as we walk: signs of passage made in snow, sand, mud, grass, dew, earth or moss… We easily forget that we are track-markers, through, because most of our journeys now occur on asphalt and concrete and these are substances not easily impressed.”
-Robert Macfarlane, The Old Ways: A Journey on Foot.
After graduating with a 2.1 in BA (Hons) Photography from Southampton Solent University, I have been working on independent and freelance assignments. Specialising in mountains, extreme sports, events, travel and lifestyle photography. I moved to the alps for a snow injection and i haven’t looked back ever since. Val d’Isere is a magnet that draws me back year after year, a place that engulfs me in beautiful landscapes to photograph.
I love to be challenged and will get involved in any project thrown my way. So please get in touch for more details.
